PREMIER LEAGUE – England
12:30 Chelsea v Manchester Utd – 1.88 / 4.01 / 4.27
- Man Utd at home to Roma in the Champions League hands advantage clearly over to Chelsea, unless Sesko is back up front. He could blossom but his absence leaves United blunt
- Chelsea : lost last home to Tottenham ; prior to that no trouble scoring 2+ goals at home but conceded all homes ; only 1 clean sheet ; 3 0-0’s at halftime in 4 a surprise given I attach goals to Chelsea ;
- Man Utd : the usual clown show and with the Champions League to come, this is a match they could do without ; conceded all away ; 3 consecutive away score draws , 2 consecutive 1-1 ; feel vulnerable if taking the lead.
- Angles : I go into this match expecting Champions league distraction v the absolute Monsters Roma is going to play with United today. Sesko needs to return up front at some time, they seem to have a couple of ‘temu’ strikers in his place. So note those 0-0’s at halftime for Chelsea, something I guess that United would aim for away pre Europe…?
15:00 Bournemouth v Leeds – 2.16 / 3.56 / 3.70
- Bournemouth : 2 straight wins to nil worryingly the only wins all season ; sole home loss v Liverpool ; failed to score only in that Liverpool match ; only 1 0-0 at halftime ;
- Leeds : 5 draws is dropping points ; 3/4 draws recently ; 1-1-1-0 goals scored away is a concern ; indeed scored 2+ goals in a single match only once.
- Angles : If Leeds retain this blunt attack and struggle for 2 goals, that is our angle. Bournemouth tend to see a goal at least before halftime. Bournemouth win momentum is significant but they do have European football on the 5th November.
15:00 Brentford v Nottingham – 2.15 / 3.82 / 3.47
- Brentford : sole loss at home v Liverpool latest ; scored all matches ; 6/8 BTTS
- Nottingham Forest : only 1 win came away v Villa ; 6/8 matches saw them fail to score that 2nd goal ; BTTS all away
- Angles : Both Teams To Score on form so far ; Bournemouth matches tend to see a goal before halftime ; if Forest cannot find a 2nd goal they will be vulnerable if leading.
15:00 Coventry v Sunderland – 3.11 / 3.50 / 2.46
- 2.46 sounds the alarm. Best approached in play if at all
- Coventry : no draw ; 2 wins ; only 1 clean sheet ; 4 1-0 scorelines this season ;
- Sunderland : 7/8 failure to score that 2nd goal. Are involved in Europe next Thursday ; 3/4 defeats away ; unbeaten v Fulham and Leeds and Coventry have a similar profile
- Angles : that 2nd goal eludes these 2 far too often, particularly Sunderland who are struggling and are pre Europe ; no draw Coventry – certainly lay any late draw given the need for 3 points.
15:00 Hull v Ipswich – 2.73 / 3.53 / 2.73
- these are some of the highest odds you are likely to see in the match odds market.
- Hull: no win in 6 ; unbeaten 4 at home 3 straight draws ;
- Ipswich : 3/4 defeats away ; only 1 0-0 at halftime ; all 3 wins saw both teams score
- Angles :as you’ll learn, 2.73 is a big red flag. Tough to read. Hull are unbeaten at home. Ipswich can turn on 2 goals but not consistently. 4 times they have scored twice so have it in the locker. Note if Hull score first.
15:00 Manchester City v Brighton – 1.69 / 4.62 / 4.87
- pre Europe for both teams and a very recent head to head which can impact performances today ;
- Man City:all wins bar a last pre European loss v Aston Villa ; scored all ; only 1 0-0 at halftime ; 4/4 wins at home ; btts 3/4 home
- Brighton : only 2 defeats came away v Liverpool and Chelsea ; 4/5 recent clean sheets ; failed to score only last match
- Angles: Brighton losses to Chelsea and Liverpool are telling and suggest they may fall shy of City. City tend to see a goal before halftime. Clouded by pre Champions League
17:30 Tottenham v Crystal Palace – 1.63 / 4.48 / 5.64
- pre European football Crystal Palace and a London derby
- Spurs : 2 consecutive wins : 4 consecutive scoring ; scored 5 goals last 2 at home ;
- Palace : in Europe : 2-2-0 5 goals conceded away ; failed to score in 3/4
- Angles : Palace are an odd side for the trader. They can show nothing momentum or stats wise but suddenly blitz goals. They are going through a drought where Spurs are suddenly scoring consistently. An interesting market seeing market makers switch completely to 2 win Spurs…
20:00 Aston Villa v Fulham – 2.03 / 3.88 / 3.76
- pre Champions League Aston Villa
- Aston Villa : unbeaten in 4 wins 3 wins ; btts last 3 at home ; 2 goals scored last 2 at home ; 4 now with a goal before halftime
- Fulham ; 2 straight 1-0 wins the only wins ; very defensively strong away, teams take a long time to score away but are Villa a step above recent opponents?
- Angles : both sides hit a bit of form. Villa’s 2 goals v Brentford and Man City really beams here . Note Fulham have been very hard to score against away but are their opponents a little weaker than a Champions League contender?
