In-play football insights, Betfair trading setups, match stats and predictive angles based on data.A quick call on Paderborn last night proved fruitful. Livestream at 14:30. See you there?
Welcome to the Weekend. Your usual AI Eye reports and XG reports for the Premier League are below and I’ve added some research for some of the major European league matches.
It’s been a week where we’ve been ticking along with the Green Screens here at www.footballtradingprofits.com and the odd correct score play as well. Not a market I like as it can be illiquid. The last weekend before Christmas. Join me if you’re not doing any last minute Christmas Shopping for a 14:30 live stream. The Europeans now go into hibernation because they are WISE MEN!! Us Brits and Scots? We will play through snow, and brass monkey weather. Today’s review preview video gives you an idea of the matches I’ll be targeting for profit today. There are a few solid shouts. We have been introducing banker bets here at www.footballtradingprofits.com and these have produced really solid performances as you’d expect of bankers. It’s a great way to cut through the Saturday noise. Today’s bankers? Let’s take a look:
- Royal Union St Gilloise. European team at home
- Brighton. Can they score their usual 2 goals at home?
- Man City? 3 goal heroes at home. West Ham love a 0-0 at halftime but tend to see goals 2nd half
- Southampton’s new manager has really unlocked their goal scoring and we know all about Coventry. Could be a 3-2/2-3?
- Ipswich should heap more misery on the Owls
- Stuttgart v Hoffenheim both teams could score and a goal before halftime
- Lazio look solid enough v Jamie Vardy’s Cremonese. Tough to score 2 goals against
- Oviedo have trouble even scoring!!!
- Thun and Basel in Switzerland should deliver at home
See you at 14:30 with a keen eye on these matches! Merry Christmas.

Each match below includes:

Verified decimal odds
Strategic Betfair trading angles
Suggested neutral market setups
Useful for BTTS layers, over/under traders, and live match odds followers
ENGLAND: Premier League
12:30 Newcastle v Chelsea – 2.50 Chelsea
Angles: 2.5 the favourite. Geordies only beaten by Arsenal and Liverpool at home. Score 2 goals.Chelsea beaten by Man Utd and Leeds away. Respect the market. No research.
NEUTRAL :
15:00 Bournemouth v Burnley – 1.45 Bournemouth
• Bournemouth
• only 2 wins since 21st Sep.failed to score last 2 at home
• Burnley
• only 2 wins since 30th August
• 7 consecutive defeats
• 7/8 defeats away
Angles: Now is the time to pop the Cherries but Burnley's awful away form has the market convinced in a home win.
15:00 Brighton v Sunderland – 1.67 Brighton
• Brighton
• only 5 defeats,
• only Fulham and West Ham have stopped them from scoring 2 goals at home
• Sunderland
• all 4 defeats came away. Failed to score in the defeats
Angles: Superb season Black Cats but vulnerable to defeat if conceding 2 goals today. The only matches they lost were the only matches they failed to score in. Will Brighton return to 2 goals or will the Black Cats learn from West Ham's recent visit to Brighton?
15:00 Manchester City v West Ham – 1.20 Manchester City
• Manchester City
• only 2 defeats in a run of wins since 27th September.
• 3+ goals scored in 6/7 home matches
• 2-0 leads at halftime recently at home
• West Ham
• 3 consecutive away draws.
• 2 consecutive away 0-0's saw 2 goals total 2nd half
Angles: Hammers can be competitive under Nuno but IF City are anywhere near their home goal average and the Ponytailed Viking fancies it, the Hammers will be hammered.
NEUTRAL : City tend to target 1/2 goals before halftime
15:00 Wolves v Brentford – 2.00 Brentford
• Wolves
• all defeats bar 2 1-1 draws
• 5/6 0-0's at halftime under new manager but all losses.
• Brentford
• 7/8 away defeats
Angles: Wolves are now scoring....but still losing, and will attempt to take advantage of the Bees awful form away. Another 0-0 at halftime?
17:30 Tottenham v Liverpool – 2.00 Liverpool
• Tottenham
• 1 home win since 30th August
• have scored in 5/6 at home
• Liverpool
• Win, Draw, Draw, Win now, at least not losing.
• 3/4 0-0's at halftime saw 2-2-6 2nd half goals.
Angles: 2 sides we can't rely on. Both teams to score might be an angle with Spurs scoring, ordinarily without winning, at home. Much improved inplay stats wise v Brentford though, I note.
20:00 Everton v Arsenal – 1.60 Arsenal
• Everton
• 4 wins to nil recently ended with defeats v Newcastle and Chelsea, who, like Arsenal, are European sides.
• Arsenal
• 2 defeats away v Liverpool and lately Aston Villa.
• conceded 2 goals only twice
Angles: Arsenal have the best XGa in the premier league and Everton should find it hard to score , let along score 2, against them. Lay over 0.5 goals pre match incase the Toffees park the bus and aim for a late 1-0 v an Arsenal adept at parking the bus themselves.
20:00 Leeds v Crystal Palace – 2.55 Leeds
Angles: post Europe Palace and 2.55 the favoruite means AI eye only
NEUTRAL :
GERMANY: Bundesliga
14:30 Stuttgart v Hoffenheim – 2.00 Stuttgart
• Stuttgart
• 5 defeats, 4 came away. Only Bayern beat them at home
• 8 consecutive overs and goals before halftime.
• Hoffenheim
• only loss since 19th October came v Dortmund
Angles: Normally the market gets the Hoff right and to not be favourite suggests it may not be a winning day. But only Dortmund have beaten them away and Stuttgart at home have yet really to be tested by the top 12 so their solid home form has that context. Might see a more competitive match than the market has us believe.
NEUTRAL : Goal(s) before halftime
ITALY: Serie A
17:00 Lazio v Cremonese – 1.65 Lazio
• Lazio
• only 2 defeats since 29th September, were 1-0 only
• only Torino have scored 2+ goals at home v Lazio
• 9 consecutive under 2.5 goals matches.
• Cremonese
• 2 wins in 3
• 4 losses in 6
Angles: With Jamie Vardy, Cremonese can always threaten but seem to be outscored v the better sides. Lazio are in trouble if they fail to score but do tend to be hard to score 2 goals against ordinarily. This is all about whether Cremonese can get service to Vardy against a battle hardened Lazio defence.
SPAIN: LaLiga
13:00 Oviedo v Celta Vigo – 2.05 Celta Vigo
• Oviedo
• failed to score last 6
• only 2 wins
• 3 consecutive home 0-0's
• Celta Vigo
• 4 consecutive away wins, last 2 to nil.
• last 5 goals scored 2nd half
Angles: lay over 0.5 goals here and hope Oviedo park the bus that they forgot to drive away from the home goal in the last 3 home matches. With Celta scoring and winning 2nd half too, we may get to a hallowed 0-0 at halftime. Celta look real value here to be honest and are much likely the first goal scorers.
NEUTRAL :
15:15 Levante v Real Sociedad – 2.20 Real Sociedad
• Levante
• only 2 wins came away
• 5 consecutive defeats, clean sheets last 3 matches
• Levante have conceded 2+ goals in all home matches
• Real Sociedad
• 3 consecutive defeats
• lost last away after 2 away draws and a win
• conceded last 8 away
Angles: Oh Lordy. Home side concedes 2 for fun at home, away side concede last 10 and last 8 away. Awful pair. Sociedad did have a recent 3 match unbeaten away run which may give them the nod.
17:30 Osasuna v Alavés – 2.25 Osasuna
• Osasuna
• 4 wins came at home
• only 5 over 2.5 goals
• 2 goals scored in 4/6 recent home matches
• Alavés
• 5 wins, 4 at home
• 5 consecutive 1-0 scorelines away ( 4 defeats) ended v Barcelona
Angles: Alaves possibly going to park the bus today. Osasuna's under 2.5 goals habit might contribute to a defensively led match but for me slightly favour Osasuna with a 2 goal habit BUT remember Alaves adept at 1-0 win or loss.
20:00 Real Madrid v Sevilla – 1.22 Real Madrid
• Real Madrid
• 2 defeats. Temper filled v Celta recently
• all wins at home bar that one.
• only failed to score last home match.
• Sevilla
• 2 wins since 18th October came at home
• 3 defeats and a draw away latest. Do score.
Angles: I don't expect 2 consecutive home defeats Real Madrid. That is my angle here. Sevilla are scoring away but a draw their best case.
NEUTRAL :
