My only play yesterday would have been an insurance lay of a Nottingham Forest lead or a late lay of Nottingham Forest who showed real intent in keeping Villa from scoring an away goal.

Today sees Italian Seria B facing its 2nd to last day. ‘Moving Day’ I call it. Teams can , with 3 points, set themselves up for a less troublesome final day. Nearly all of today’s Seria B matches are significant. I will be looking at 14:00. Usually a day off. Holiday in UK?

•  automatic promotion spot currently. 

Angles:  3 consecutive wins for Monza sees them confident and hugely motivated. But with matches running out, Mantova do need to start winning. A generous 8 places available but a big task v this Monza side.

•  safe in the play off places. Wipe sweat from brow...

• Reggiana  
•  can still get out of the relegation zone but quite simply this is a must win.

Angles:  Modena have 2 draws and 2 losses recently and this is a great time for Reggiana who, though, have only 1 win in 6 matches.

• Padova  
•  3 points above the relegation zone , 2 wins in 3 matches. 

• Pescara  
•  in a relegation play off place. Will remain in the relegation play off places with a win.

Angles:  MUST MUST WIN for both teams, more so for Pescara who could set themselves up with a Great Escape with a win today. Padova have good wins recently coming into this... but 2.3 the favourite tells you everything.

ITALY: Serie B

• Palermo  
•  unlikely to improve on 4th spot but must keep winning incase other results go their way. 
•  unbeaten in 6 with 3 wins in 5 matches.

•  guaranteed play offs. 

Angles:  Highly unlikely that Palermo will reach the automatic play offs, but if somehow teams above them lose, and they win, the last day will be very interesting indeed.....

Angles:  Season over for me for Sampdoria. Sudtirol need the win to make the last day a little more comfortable.
