FootballTradingProfits.com AUGUST DAILY PODCAST –Wednesday , 20th August 2025

Today’s Podcast focuses on the Elite Leagues and Their Return at the Weekend as our German friends ( Don’t mention the war) and Italy ( Ciao Bella!) enter the fray. At this stage of the season, where formlines are naturally nowhere to be seen, I like to home in on a shortlist of teams who could serve us traders well this season. The Podcast looks at the following in the top leagues in England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France in the following categories

  1. Newly promoted. The Newly Promoted Teams in the Premier League all went back down. They are to be monitored with a view to struggling this season.
  2. Newly Relegated to… I love to focus on newly relegated sides. Look at Sassuolo last season. Absolutely bossed Seria B. Cardiff are enjoying the less rarified air. How will Premier League perennials Saints and Leicester fair in the Championship?
  3. Near the European places. Aston Villa’s goal difference miss should surely have them focussed. These teams can put together good runs.
  4. Sides avoiding relegation by the skin of their teeth. These teams , like newly promoted teams, could be targetable this season.

My podcast underneath mentions a difficult old coupon this evening. First Legs in Europe ( it’s only halftime!) and English League One and Two dodgepots all finding winning a mystery this season! Fenerbahce v Benfica is the managerial tustle of the evening.
