Welcome to the Football Trading Profits Premier League Review.

It’s Post-Europe and some teams may be hindered by fixture congestion and fatigue. Brace yourself for that today.

More manual research today which is a real luxury as it requires time. Let’s take a look at the eyecatchers.

  • Spurs not odds on favourite for the first time in 2 matches. Winning the last 2. No win in 5 Leeds but unbeaten at home. 2.66 the favourite warns you that the market advises caution as it is a tad unreadable
  • Another stroll in the park and routine 2-0 home win for Arsenal? Arteta’s favourite scoreline as it obviously compensates for a conceded goal
  • 6 consecutive matches without a 2nd goal for Fulham is the ‘needs must’ reason their defence has an air of solidity about it.
  • 2 straight defeats Man City. Surely they’ll be all guns blazing to ensure it’s not 3 consecutive. Forest struggling to even score at home…

REMIER LEAGUE – England

12:30 Leeds v Tottenham – 2.78 / 3.57 / 2.66

  • Leeds : first point to note : pre match odds = a messy tough to call match. First time in 2 matches Tottenham are not strong odds on favourite : no win in 5 but unbeaten home ( 3/4 draws) ; scored 2+ goals just once
  • Tottenham : twice now odds on favourite and twice now delivering albeit red card assisted latest : only 1 loss in 7 ; 3 consecutive wins yet an unconvinced market?
  • Angles: must respect the market but Spurs look value. Leeds inability to score 2 goals regularly enough should seal their fate. Certainly if leeds lead, a 2-0, 2-1 correct score cover prudently covers any shock 2nd and is a reminder this is an UNPREDICTABLE scoreline market.

15:00 Arsenal v Hull – 1.20 / 7.95 / 18.50

  • Arsenal : all wins bar loss v Brighton : 5 clean sheets : not spectacular scorers. 2 goals max ;
  • Hull : no win in 7 : conceded last 6
  • Angles : no indepth research required. Arsenal do tend to max out at 2 goals this season, with their perfect 2-0 scorelines, allowing for a possible conceded goal but still enough to win!. I cannot see Rod landing a blow here. Post Champions League but a soft win v Sparta Prague did not take too much out of them.

15:00 Fulham v Newcastle – 2.09 / 3.90 / 3.58

  • Fulham : 2 wins and a draw, the only wins all season ; 6 consecutive without a 2nd goal yet only lost one = robust defence? ;
  • Newcastle : Either winning 0-2 or losing 4-1 away i.e. unreadable! ; scored 2 goals in 3/4 so some small threat up front ;
  • Angles : sorry but which Newcastle turns up? Fulham are defensively robust as they have to be, scoring a single goal only. Inplay stats and momentum will aliven us to which Newcastle turn up today, 0-2 away winners or 4-1 away defeat? Obvious angle if Fulham struggle for 2 goals could be to lay them if leading via insurance

17:30 Nottingham v Manchester City – 4.88 / 4.32 / 1.73

Nottingham Forest ; 4 defeats in 5 : failed to score that 2nd goal in 5 matches ; failed to score at home and costing in 3 0-1 defeats ;

Man City : involved in Champions League ; 2 consecutive defeats ; you can bet they’ll be doing their damndest to make sure it is not 3.

Angles : a match of context. I am firmly with Man City here to put to bed a 2 match losing run. Some angles are simple…
