Welcome to 2026. Ah, the joys of being your own I.T. Department. I wake up this Saturday to find I cannot access any websites. A DNS issue ( DNFW issue more like – does not fecking work). All fixed now but running late. As usual here’s the Premier League research for you in what is a tough coupon with 3 derbies to contend with. As traders we need to be cautious about derbies. Oftentimes it’s shinpads on, formlines thrown out of the window.
Not only that, we have the cloud of Pre Champions League football to contend with. The kind of cloud which makes a hot favourite like Monaco lose 1-3 and a side like Atalanta draw 1-1 with a Pisa team who have rarely even managed to score a goal! So be careful today. One of these pre Champions League sides is going to turn into a Sunday League Pub team!!
There’s a livestream today . I will be using ‘Go Live’ which means you’ll see my ugly mug in the corner as I attempt to traverse what could be a difficult set of matches to read for the trader. You’re all very welcome. The link is below. I’ve also thrown in some German Bundesliga research for you. Members get the French, Italians and Spanish too.
Have a great weekend, welcome to 2026 and see you later I hope on Youtube. Ensure you subscribe to the Youtube channel as these Golive livestreams will be restricted to subscribers only in the future.
Bankers today?
At www.footballtradingprofits.com, we oftentimes look to cut through the noise and home in on the ‘bankers’. As a trader, my definition of a banker is a team I do not expect to lose. Here are today’s, 2 of which have that Champions League question mark about them!
- Arsenal pre Champions League but Forest not that convincing.
- Lens go top with a win today
- Dortmund don’t tend to slip up pre Champions League and are 2 goal winners at hom
Here’s today’s Review/Preview video. A great tool to look at the ideal trades from yesterday and a preview to today’s possibles, including any pitfalls ( such as , you guessed it), a Champions League match upcoming.

ENGLAND: Premier League
12:30 Manchester Utd v Manchester City – 1.95 Manchester City
Angles: Derby, interim manager for Man Utd. AI Eye Report only
NEUTRAL :
15:00 Chelsea v Brentford – 1.70 Chelsea
Angles: 2/2 for the AI eye. Chelsea new manager syndrome, not sure if Mr. Rosenior's influence will be felt immediately AND London derby.
NEUTRAL :
15:00 Leeds v Fulham – 2.25 Leeds
• Leeds
• fantastic 4-3 loss v Newcastle latest ended a run of WDDWDDD.Still no side in that sequence has gone 2+ goals ahead of them.
• WDWD at home, scoring 3-3-4-1
• scored and conceded last 8 at home
• 2 home defeats v 3rd and 14th
• 11/13 goals scored at home 2nd half
• Fulham
• WWWDDW recently
• scored last 10 matches
• 5/5 wins v 16th and lower ( play 16th today)
Angles: tough nut to crack. 2 sides coming into this in good form. Both teams scoring too. Fulham confidence boosted by 5/5 wins v 16th and lower. BUT Leeds at home have scored as many as 4 goals recently.
15:00 Liverpool v Burnley – 1.22 Liverpool
• Liverpool
• pre Champions League.
• unbeaten in 9 but 3 consecutive draws
• 0-1 win last head to head. 3/3 wins v bottom 3
• Burnley
• no win in 12 and in 5 away
• conceded last 10 away
• all defeats away v top 14, conceding between 2-5 goals
• 13 goals conceded last 1/2 hour away
Angles: pre Champions league the Achilles Heel for Liverpool. Burnley concede a lot and late so note that if Liverpool struggle.
NEUTRAL :
15:00 Sunderland v Crystal Palace – 2.63 Sunderland
Angles: AI Eye because of the odds.
NEUTRAL :
15:00 Tottenham v West Ham – 1.70 Tottenham
Angles: Wow, it's a tough old Premier League coupon. Another derby, and pre Europe for Tottenham, and a relegation six pointer for West Ham. AI eye only.
17:30 Nottingham v Arsenal – 1.53 Arsenal
• Nottingham
• 4 consecutive defeats ended with a win v West Ham
• 3 defeats in 4 at home
• no draw in 11
• lost 3-0 last head to head - 9 goals conceded last 15 mins at home
• Arsenal
• only 2 defeats came away
• scored last 8 away
• 100% wins home and away v 11th and lower.
Angles: pre Champions League for the Arsenal and some recent fixture congestion. Forest are a trader's nightmare. They can put in a shift under Dyche but are unreadable. They can beat 5th at home but then fail to score at home v 8th 10th, 11th, 12th!. We should normally expect the Arse to keep it tight at the back.
NEUTRAL :
FRANCE: Ligue 1 ( Members Only)
GERMANY: Bundesliga ( Free Today)
14:30 Dortmund v St. Pauli – 1.36 Dortmund
• Dortmund
• only 1 loss.
• scored last 17
• all home wins to nil
• St. Pauli
• only 3 wins
• tend to concede 2 goals in defeat v top 11 away
Angles: St Pauli may eye something as they are unbeaten in 2 away but usually concede 2 goals to top sides away and Dortmund, when winning at home, tend to win to nil.
14:30 FC Koln v Mainz – 2.25 FC Koln
• FC Koln
• only 4 wins, 3 came at home
• conceded last 8 at home
• unbeaten home and away v 11th and lower and play 16th today ( 0-1 win H2H)
• 67% of goals came 2nd half
• Mainz
• priced to win last match and did win, run of 3 draws and a win in an attempt to stave off relegation
• 2 goals scored in 3/4 recently
• no win in 6 away, conceding last 8 away
• no win home or away v top 14 and play 12th today
Angles: relegation six pointer really and Mainz cannot be discounted on their recent unbeaten run and 2+ goals scored. Koln cannot be discounted on an unbeaten run v 11th and lower so justifies the 2.25 the favourite quote.
NEUTRAL : lay any late draw as this is a relegation six pointer.
14:30 Hoffenheim v Bayer Leverkusen – 2.50 Bayer Leverkusen
Angles: in simple terms, when the market speaks, the Hoff answer, as they did with an emphatic win latest at odds on. The market might be hesitant with Leverkusen after a spanking v Stuttgart. As a 2.5 the favourite match, AI Eye only
NEUTRAL :
14:30 Wolfsburg v Heidenheim – 1.67 Wolfsburg
• Wolfsburg
• WLW at home recently
• 3-0-2-4-2-3-1-2 total goals before halftime recently
• scored and conceded last 9
• unbeaten home v 9th and lower, play bottom today
• Heidenheim
• bottom
• only 3 wins
• 8 consecutive over 2.5 goals
• all defeats bar 1 away
Angles: The Wolf have a couple of recent wins to spur them on today and are unbeaten v 9th and lower at home so look deserving of their quote, bar their problem scoring and conceding. But Heidenheim are bottom for a reason. Only 3 wins.
NEUTRAL : Over 1.5 first half goals the Wolf?
17:30 RB Leipzig v Bayern Munich – 1.48 Bayern Munich
Angles: derby style match and pre Europe sees Bayern a tad short. Add in Leipzig's excellent home form and this could be interesting. AI Eye only.
NEUTRAL :
